Pettersson und Findus - Kleiner Quälgeist, grosse Freundschaft
A story about love, friendship, trust and security, with old Pettersson and his cat Findus.
During a stormy night, a little orphaned cat named Findus is taken in by the solitary Pettersson. The eccentric man has never been able to tolerate a woman over the long term, but a cute and fuzzy little kitty sweetens his life way out in the country. Together they bake cakes, dance happily around the farm and try to save the Pettersson’s chickens from the local fox.
The Swedish classic children’s book by Sven Nordqvist finally makes it to the big screen, although by a German director (Ali Samadi Ahadi). With help from the animation company Pixomondo (Iron Man 2, Game of Thrones), the movies is visually appealing and well-targeted towards the over-4 crowd, whom it’s sure to please. Parents will be happy to accompany them – although they’ll find the design somewhat sterile.
