The movie version of the TV series: Bernd Stromberg is back to annoy the office.

On the occasion of the firm’s 50th anniversary, CAPITOL Insurance invites its employees to a big event at a hotel in the country. This includes Bernd Stromberg and his team from the claims department. While their colleagues get ready for a relaxed stay, the department head has a plan. Because Stromberg has just found out that his branch office is to be closed, he wants to suck up to his superior at the party and get transferred to the head office. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what "Ernie" has in mind. It doesn’t take long for the anniversary celebrations to go completely haywire.

Inspired by the successful British series The Office, this version came out in 2004 and was unusual for German sitcom standards, since it didn’t have a sympathetic character in the lead. After five seasons, the award-winning Stromberg heads off to the big screen for its successful grand finale. The movie was made possible by crowdfunding, thanks to fans who contributed 1 million euros to help finance the project.
