The Expendables have a new mission: to arrest the terrorist Conrad Stonebanks and take him to the Hague, where he will be judged for his crimes. A painful mission, since Stonebanks used to be an Expendable too, dropped by Barney Ross when Stonebanks decided that illegal jobs make better money. When one of his men is gravely wounded, Ross recruits a new team that’s younger and more energetic to go into this one last battle…

The bait for getting an audience into a theatre to see yet another Expendables movie can only be this: shoot ‘em ups, things that go boom and wisecracks, all accompanied by a nostalgic but improbable line-up of action heroes from the 1980’s. Mission accomplished for this movie, 80% of which is made up of more or less spectacular action scenes, tied together by an incredibly stupid plot. But really, there must be better things to do for two hours than see this umpteenth super-production that is nothing more than absolutely unnecessary.
