Friends since secondary school, Eric and Patrice have lived very different lives. Divorced and irresponsible, Eric is a player finalizing his divorce, while Patrice is a married with children an a smothering career. After a weekend in the country and a well-lubricated evening in a house full of memories, they fall down the stairs and wake up in 1986. They are 17, about to graduate, falling in love for the first time and making their first mistakes. Given this second chance, they decide to make the most of it in any way possible…

The surprise success of Noémie Lvovsky’s Camille redouble inspired ideas, and not the best ones. The Bis cocktail is no great mix: a trip back in time for silly gags and moral lessons, with former Nul Dominique Farrugia behind the camera and the very popular Franck Dubosc and Kad Merad above the title. An unoriginal duo that seems to have been created only to generate money, heading a movie that is completely predictable. Adding to the unimaginative casting are Gérard Darmon as an old, big-hearted malcontent and Alexandra Lamy as a slightly annoying woman. The old-fashioned, vague direction doesn’t help either. It’s no surprise when this very banal movie gets heavily moralistic at the end.
