Although he is about to marry Meredith, the daughter of his father's partner, who heads a large law firm, Jason Kelly agrees to help out his grandfather Dick, who has just become a widower and wants to go to Florida. But Jason doesn’t know that this apparently wise man is out for an adventure and determined to use Spring Break to try and seduce pretty girls. Thus Jason finds himself on a crazy road trip that will upset all his plans ...

Robert De Niro as a sex-obsessed gramps, Zac Efron as a yuppie with the body of a demigod, Aubrey Plaza as an easy hot girl (thank you Parks & Recreation): that’s all you need to know about Dirty Grandpa, a coarse, funny comedy from the people that gave us Efron in Neighbors. In the wake of the offbeat romantic comedy I Give It a Year, Dan Mazer rushes headlong into the realm of dumb and wicked comedy, with a result that is highly entertaining. It doesn’t matter that there is no effort to be original and that the mechanics rely more on the quantity than the quality of the gags: this movie offers value for money. Audiences can munch happily on popcorn while enjoying a skillfully preformatted product, which at least has the merit of not lying about its content.
