La tour 2 contrôle infernale
October 1981. Brilliant pilots of the French army, Ernest Krakenkrick and Bashir Bouzouk emerge unrecognizable from an experiment gone wrong. Now stupid and incapable of any real work, they become baggage handlers at Orly. When a cyber-terrorist team led by a madman takes control of the airport and begin to plan aircraft crashes, the two become the only hope to save the day...
Is La tour 2 contrôle infernale an unmitigated disaster or an indefinable comedy? Is Eric and Ramzy’s sense of humor awful or does it challenge the limits of absurdity? Few comedies are able to exasperate their audience through mediocrity only to surprise with a flash of irresistible humor. 16 years after the movie that sold two million tickets, Die Too, the comic duo is back with a sequel that no one expected, in the form of an origin story. Also back are Marina Fois and Serge Riaboukine. It’s easier to take if you are a fan of Eric and Ramzy. This hallucinatory new adventure blows hot and cold in between the usual sketch pieces starring extreme morons, some funny, some with compelling ideas: the explanation of how they got stupid; Philippe Katerine as a terrorist; Marina Fois’ role; the man nobody understands. In the end, it’s hard to know what you did more – laughed or rolled your eyes.
