Overtaken by a new generation of ultra-fast cars, the famous Lightning McQueen finds himself on the sidelines of a sport he loves. Wanting to return to racing and, in remembrance of Doc Hudson, prove that No. 95 still has a place in the Piston Cup, McQueen is going to have to come up with something. Cruz Ramirez, a race technician who also dreams of victory, signs on to help...

Even big Pixar fans will admit that Cars is far from being among the great achievements of the studio. The sequel, released in 2011, was more a gigantic merchandising operation than an artistic adventure. Cars 3, which nobody expected, doesn’t change the formula. This third episode is unnecessary, a remake of the first movie, with a hero who tactically confronts his weaknesses and goes on to win. The technical talent of the Pixar studios is once again at work, offering a spectacle worthy of the name, but the quality of writing is not up to par. Far from being equal to the ambitions that have made Pixar a success, Cars 3 is at the level of The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory – both movies too shallow and formulaic to be at all memorable.
