Yara was shot in the north of Lebanon, in the Kadisha Valley, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accessible only by foot or by mule, the valley constitutes the wild backdrop of two related stories: the storyof two young people experiencing the joys and sorrows of their first love, and the story of a small community of mountain farmers condemned to disappear.
