Little Zelma is creative, rebellious and headstrong. In short: Everything she shouldn't be if she wants to find the love of her life one day. As life goes on, she does learn to conform to norms. But as she grows older and her marriages fail, she realises more and more that there seems to be something wrong with the concept of love. Director Signe Baumane takes us on an imaginative exploration of love, sex and gender roles in this animated film that is as bitingly sharp as it is humorous. A film for all those who have already experienced losing track of their own self in a relationship.
