Interview Project
Director, producer, musician, painter, David Lynch shows once again he knows how to renew himself, with a web 2.0 project in close collaboration with his son, Austin.
The Interview Project is pitched as an internet series of mini-documentaires, short interviews of ordinary people whose paths cross the production team during their 70-day, 20'000-mile road-trip across the United States. David Lynch gets the producer and distributor credits by publishing the videos on his site, while his son Austin, following in the steps of his sister Jennifer Lynch, directs.
«People should watch Interview Project, because they're going to meet hundreds of people. There was no plan really. The people who were interviewed – each was different. [...] It's so fascinating to look and listen to people. What I hope people will get out of Interview Project is a chance to meet these people,» declares David Lynch in the introduction video.
These fly-on-the-wall slices of life, in turn touching, moving, funny, or simply fascinating, dive deep into what defines humanity: dreams, regrets, self-definition or understanding of death. It may very well be David Lynch's most generous project to date. People, do click on the link to meet these people.
