Arnold Schwarzenegger signs an anti-paparazzi law to come into effect on January 1, 2010.

Schwarzenegger goes after the paparazzi

This law will allow celebrities who are hounded by photographers to take into court media sources who publish photos or movie clips that were obtain illegally or that violate their privacy. The tabloid press, certain TV stations and some of the larger Internet sites pay million for exclusive shots of hot celebs.

In the past years, may stars have been victims or car accidents due to chases by paparazzi – the death of Diana Spencer being the most drastic example.
