Scream, the sequels

During a recent interview, Wes Craven confirmed a rumor that has been going around the Internet for a while: a new «Scream» trilogy is on the way.

The master of horror flicks is not sure he will take full part in the adventure, however. The screenwriter of the first 3 episodes, Kevin Williamson, is putting the final touches on the script and will submit them to Craven for approval, before the latter decides whether he himself will direct not just a fourth installment, but a whole new trilogy.

Wes Craven also added that David Arquette and Courtney Cox will be the only stars from the original 3 (and excellent!) episodes of «Scream». Neve Campbell will therefore not be part of the project.

Craven’s last movie, «Red Eye», came out in 2005.
