Seagal and Van Damme, together at last

Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal, the combat kings of yesteryear, areset to star in a movie together.

The production will no doubt benefit from the tensions between the two 90¹sstars.

After Jean-Claude Van Damme's attempted come-back with the Belgian-Frenchspoof «JCVD», and Steven Seagal's troubles with the law and a New Yorkmobster, the project serves mainly to reacquaint the public with theirtalents.

It will also provide the perfect occasion to determine once and for allwho's the toughest of the two. In an interview in February, SylvesterStallone told of an altercation between them: «At a party in my home inMiami in 1997, Van Damme was tired of Seagal claiming he could kick his assso he offered Seagal outside into my back yard.» According to «Rocky», itnever came to blows, as Seagal retreated to safety.

The combat scenes between the two martial arts specialists in the upcoming«Weapon» may therefore be perfectly realistic.
