An attractive adolescent works alone in a service station in the Scottish Highlands.

Shell is the portrait of an attractive young 17-year-old named Shell who works at – a Shell gas station. Lost in the Scottish Highlands, blown about by the wind. Her only company is her father, to whom she is strangely devoted. A group of mysterious travelers stop there and soon begin to cause trouble...

Part thriller, part psychological drama at first, Shell is sometime reminiscent of Paris, Texas. It offers audiences an ambience of uneasy solitude as it takes on the serious subject of adolescence and all the questions that come with it. Rather bland for a drama, considering the taboo and tragic subject it deals with.
