When playboy Billy (Michael Douglas) finally pops the question to his significantly younger girlfriend, he gets the idea to hold his bachelor party in Las Vegas with his old friends Paddy (Robert De Niro), Archie (Morgan Freeman) and Sam (Kevin Kline). Archie and Sam are easy to convince, since they’re happy to get out of their respective ruts. Paddy, on the other hand, is still mad at Billy for not coming to his wife’s funeral, so they have to get him to Vegas under false pretences. Not the best prerequisites for a trip with only one objective: big-ass fun.

Despite a few sensationalist visual set-ups, what sounds like a rip-off of The Hangover turns out to be a personable feel-good movie that profits from the charms of its senior stars. There are some embarrassing moments, but otherwise Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline offer great performances and good comedic entertainment.
