Friends forever, Samuel, Julia, Vadim, Nestor and Timothy have always dreamed of one thing: sharing an apartment. Thanks to the fortune of his father, whom he has duped for years into thinking he is studying medicine when he’s actually taking acting classes, Samuel finally realizes everyone’s dream and finds them a great Paris apartment. But when his father discovers the deception and cuts him off, Samuel’s plan collapses. He decides not to tell his friends and begins selling marijuana, until this plan also goes bust, instead sending them all off on a wild adventure...

With his first film, actor and director Igor Gotesman (partner in crime of Pierre Niney on the TV series Casting(s)) has a clear and simple ambition: to make a movie full of funny and energetic friends, gags and hilarious characters, who go on overblown adventures in clichés settings – a drug deal, an electro party by a pool, a beach paradise, a group of friends that has to break up before they re-bond more strongly. Mission accomplished with Five, a modest comedy and prototype of a genre that camouflages its superficial plot with a good dose of humor, sensitivity and indulgence. No matter that none of this is original or inspired, and the not-so-madcap script recycles all-too much: this adventure will most likely charm and captivate its audience. No more, no less.
