Private bank Safdié is trying to prevent Swiss film «Dirty Money – L'infiltré» from coming out tomorrow.

The reason: the bank's logo briefly appears just before the hero finds an establishment that's ready to carry a transaction linked to money laundering. According to Safdié's lawyers, who fear the audience may get confused at a mixed message, «the presence of the branch represents an illegal breach of privacy.»

Nevertheless, director Dominique Othenin-Girard is refusing to fold, not only because the copies of the film have already been dispatched, but also because the sequence takes place in a fictional bank, in a recreated building. «Giving up is out of the question. But we were expecting it.»

«Dirty Money – L'infiltré» is inspired by the autobiographical best-seller of Fausto Cattaneo, a former narcotics superintendent, and is coming out in French-speaking Switzerland tomorrow.
